The many things dee dee did for me I'll never forget.Dee Dee will be in my mind forever and the one thing I'll never forget, that i remember from when i was a kid is what she allways told my brother and I was "Who loves you babe" and we told her "you do". Im also glad that she got to live long enough to meet my wife and all 4 of her great-grand childern and spend time with all of us. We love you Dee Dee

| Nickii Aleo Daughter-in-Law | April - 5 - 2006

Dee lived with us for the past 20 years and she had a heart of gold. She wanted to make sure you were warm enough, had enough to eat & drink, had enough money and she gave unconditional love. She always left the light on for us when we were out and when the porch light didn't work she would put a flashlight outside shining on the door lock. That's just who she was. Dee was a happy person, always smiling, making jokes and speaking honestly about what she thought, no matter the subject. Unfortunately Alzheimer's began stealing her memory and making daily life difficult. Fortunately she had a very caring family, primarily her son, my husband, Joseph. They had a very special bond and he did everything possible to make her life happy, comfortable and she knew she was loved. However, not to be fooled, she had the last dance into a better place before Alzheimer's completely consumed her and robbed her of her dignity. Smart Lady!! She will be missed a great deal, but we have lots of very happy memories with her to last throughout our lifetime.

| JOSEPH A. ALEO MY MOTHER, MY FRIEND | April - 5 - 2006
|
Last I feel something should be said about the Alzheimer's experience we went through these last few years.
If you have not experienced it I don't think it can be explained. It was hard for Dee and for us. Dee knew something was happening, and she would tell me so. There were times of great pain and times you could not help but laugh.
I prayed to God that we could be together until she was at least 85, he gave me 87. I prayed I could be with her when she died. God granted me that.
I am grateful that she still knew who Nickii and I were, but that too was fading. I am grateful that I did not have to give her up to strangers in a nursing home. We lived together, and we passed together.
You are in a better place. Love Ya Dee. Until we meet again.

| JOSEPH A. ALEO MY MOTHER, MY FRIEND | April - 4 - 2006

First, I would again like to thank John Aleo for setting up this testimonial. He did such a wonderful job and gave us all a chance to express ourselves.
Dee came into this world as Doris Marion Hanaway. She was later known by her showbiz name Delores Dawn, which later became Delores Aleo, and Dee Dee for short. She was always anxious to be helpful and was liked by all.
Dee was more than just a Mother to me, she was my friend. She loved me unconditionally. For most of my fifty-one years we were together. We worked together, traveled together, laughed together, cried together, and for the last twenty years lived together. The last thing she wrote before she died was, "I got to kiss Joe". There will always be a hole in my heart for the rest of my days. She would kill me for posting this picture, but this is how I will remember her most, with that smiling face.

| Michelle Thompson ex-daughter-in-law | April - 4 - 2006

Dee Dee had one of the biggest, kindest hearts of anyone I know. She was always thinking of others before her self. She was a special mother-in-law and a fun grandma. When Adam, Joey and Jeanee were little, they loved to go see their Grandma Dee Dee. She always shared her chocolate ice cream with them. She was there to help me more times than I can count. She was a special person who will be missed.
